CHRISTMAS WREATH FROM SCRATCH – A Silk Scarf

CHRISTMAS WREATH FROM SCRATCH

December 6, 2019

I was shopping for wreaths the other day and while searching I noticed they all looked the same! Each wreath had something that I liked about it but I couldn’t find a wreath that had everything I liked. I bought a couple and tried taking what I admired on each one and put them on an already made wreath. Awesome idea in my mind, buuut it was a fail. I was ready for something different and decided to make my own FROM SCRATCH!

Read below for the steps:

The first thing I did was wrap the wire around the wreath tightly to secure the wire.

Then I started attaching bundles to the wreath continuing to wrap wire. DON’T cut the wire.  Keep it dangling throughout the project. Place additional foliage bundles over the wire from the  previous bundle.

Notice how I changed the direction of the foliage each time I add a bundle?

Towards the end you’ll find a hole only large enough for one more bundle.

You’ll make a bundle and place it where you wrapped the first one! Then wrap wire around tightly.

Done! I made my bundles with more foliage than probably necessary because I wanted the wreath to look fuller.  You could easily add pinecones by hot glueing them on after everything is finished.  I had bought red ribbon for this project thinking I would tie a big bow on the bottom right.  However, I didn’t use it because I thought there would be too much going on. But, give it a try and share a picture of your wreaths on the comments below! I want to see them!

Check out my Pinterest to find other wreaths that I am crushing on right now.
