GETTING MY WHITE IN BEFORE LABOR DAY! …& TRICKS ON KEEPING YOUR WHITE CLOTHES WHITE!

I have not worn white all year! What?! I noticed my white pants in the bottom of my jean pile. White jeans are a classic and they really are something I wear all year long. (Obviously not this year right?) So no, I do not follow the white after Labor Day rule. My favorite part about white is it matches with everything. Any color top would look great. I always try to wear some sort of bright or colorful color though just to add some pretty to the outfit!

When I walked outside of the house today my sister said “You’ve got balls!”  But, wearing white isn’t that scary girls! They’re so flattering and versatile you can’t go wrong!

Here are some tips on keeping your white jeans white:

Avoid Fading: Are your white jeans losing their color? Just soak them in 4 quarts of hot water and a half a cup of baking soda for at least 5 hours.

Wash Them Separately: I know it may seem like more of a hassle but don’t wash your jeans with your lights.  It might sound goofy but some of the dye from the light color clothing could still get on the jeans.

Don’t Use Bleach: Your first thought to keep your things white is to use bleach right? Don’t! Using chlorine bleach will start to make your white clothes turn yellow in time.  Using a oxygen based bleach such as OxiClean is okay.

Dry Outside or On Low Heat: Drying your white jeans in hot heat can also cause them to yellow. So drying them in a low heat setting is a good idea. Sunshine is also a bleaching effect so hang them outside!
