If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I put up the Christmas tree this weekend! It might be too early for some people, but not at our house! You now how I know? Because it makes me happy! Decorating for Christmas all day not only brought Christmas cheer, but just cheer all together. I’ve been shopping for a theme since the beginning of October. I shopped ALL over on Christmas and home stores online (20+) for the perfect collection of ornaments. My favorite ones I found were from MACY’S!
I have never had a flocked tree and I LOVE IT! Growing up, we always had an artificial traditional green Christmas tree. My mother did such an amazing job at decorating it. Her tree wore a new theme every year and her ornaments were glass and always above par. So much so, we weren’t even allowed to touch them! Seriously! Like I said, this is my first flocked tree and it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m happy with it and will keep it for many years to come.
As some of you probably know, putting up a flocked tree can be MESSY! And boy was it! It was all over the floor and myself. For me, I think it’s worth it. The tree is beautiful and looks just like it has a fresh coat of fluffy snow. However, if it’s not worth it for you and you don’t like the hassle, I found another option. Design Master Snow Blast Spray is a white spray you put on your artificial tree for the flocked look. A 7.5 tree would require 3 cans of spray.
NOTE: I did not get the tree from Macy’s.
I decided to not go a traditional route and went pink themed! My sister and I live together and I knew she would be pleased with the touch of feminine. Plus, two girls living alone should have a girly tree right? Macy’s has a great selection of ornaments and Christmas decor. They also have a handful of other collections if the pink doesn’t suit you. It was hard for me to choose between this pink theme and the silver and blue theme! These two colors together are beautiful. Maybe blue will be next year 😉.
Tell me what you’re thinking of doing for your Christmas decorations! Have you put up your tree yet?
