MY WEEK IN PINK

Lately I have been wearing pops of pink in my daily outfits.  I dress very work professional and sometimes that can be boring. So, adding a little color doesn’t harm anyone right? 

Okay, but it in all seriousness it actually can! Buying pink for your wardrobe can be tricky.  I say that because you still want people to take you seriously. I mean it. Wearing pink in a business setting can really turn people off. I have noticed it first hand…

Here are some tricks on getting away with wearing hot pink in a professional setting. And rockin’ it!! 

1. Buy good quality. Buying anything cheap will make you look unprofessional. But, wearing a cheap bright pink blouse will make you look frumpy. 

2. Don’t wear too much of it in one outfit. Just a pop of pink in a blouse, pants, or shoes is very subtle. Let’s be real, a small amount of hot pink can go a long way. 

3. Know your trade. If you know what you’re talking about people can’t compare you to Barbie. Harsh, but true. 

4. Be confident! Was wearing hot pink high waisted trousers scary? Heck ya! However, I walked with assertiveness and a positive attitude and everyone took me seriously.
